Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using HeySophia. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the service.

1. About the Service

HeySophia is an AI-powered virtual companion service operated by Synthetic Companion Ltd. The service provides conversational interactions, digital media content, and virtual credits for use within the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this service. By registering an account, you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction. We reserve the right to suspend accounts found to belong to underage users.

3. Virtual Credits (Coins)

3.1 Nature of Credits

Coins are virtual credits purchased for use within the HeySophia platform. They have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for real-world currency.

3.2 Non-Refundable Policy

All purchases of virtual credits are final and non-refundable. As digital credits are consumed immediately upon use within the service, we cannot offer refunds once a purchase has been completed. This policy is in accordance with UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 exemptions for digital content that has been consumed.

3.3 Pricing

Prices are displayed in GBP (British Pounds Sterling) inclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time, but existing credits will not be affected.

4. Payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store, process, or have access to your credit card or banking details at any point. Your payment information is handled entirely by Stripe under their security infrastructure.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to:

• Harassment, abuse, or threats towards the AI system or other users
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, hack, or gain unauthorised access to the platform
• Sharing account credentials or allowing third-party access to your account
• Using automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to interact with the service
• Distributing or reproducing content from the service without authorisation

6. Account Suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, for violation of these terms or any behaviour we deem harmful to the service or other users. Upon termination, any remaining virtual credits will be forfeited.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, designs, and intellectual property on this platform are owned by Synthetic Companion Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synthetic Companion Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
